Eye Examinations

FREE NHS EYE EXAMINATION GROUNDS FOR APPLICATION.

You are entitled to an NHS eye examination if you are:

• Receiving Income Support

• Receiving Pension Credit Guarantee

• Receiving Income based Job Seekers Allowance

• Receiving Tax Credit

• Over 60

• Under 16

• Full time student under 19

• Have a valid HC 2 certificate

• Registered Blind or Partially Sighted

• Have diabetes or glaucoma

• Aged 40 or over with a close relative with Glaucoma (parent/child/brother/sister)

Proof of benefits is required but not essential.

If you are not entitled to a free eye examination you will be charged.
